Petz Group Ecosystem
Grupo Petz is the largest and most complete ecosystem in the Brazilian pet segment. Its platform combines the shopping experience and differentiated service in the largest chain of physical stores in the country with the convenience and agility of its digital channels. In addition, we offer private label products and services, in which stand out the main networks in Brazil of grooming centers and veterinary clinics and hospitals – these under the brand name Centro Veterinário Seres – which unites scientific knowledge for highly complex treatments to last generation equipments.
By carrying out its initial stock offering (IPO) in September 2020, Petz became the only publicly traded company in the sector in Brazil, in addition to reaching leadership in the segment in the same year. It began a new phase of growth, with acquisitions of companies that expand the products and services offered to its customers, including Cansei de Ser Gato, Zee.Dog, Cão Cidadão and Petix. Grupo Petz is also responsible for Adote Petz, one of the largest dog and cat adoption programs in the country, with more than 60,000 adoptions since 2007.
Cansei de Ser Gato (“CDSG”) is one of the largest digital platforms of exclusive content and products for cats in Brazil. Founded in 2013 by the entrepreneurs Amanda Nori and Stéfany Guimarães, CDSG creates humorous and educational content, in addition to exclusive products for cats, under the “management of the character Chico, CEO and leader of the cat world domination”.
The content can be found in the main social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc), totaling more than 1.7 million followers. Additionally, CDSG has the “PodCat” on Spotify, one of the most listened to podcasts during 2020 in Brazil. As for the differentiated products – such as feeders, scratchers, wall shelves – they have been sold since 2015 through ecommerce (www.canseidesergato.com.br), focusing both on the meticulous development of the item according to the cat lovers perspective, and the shopping experience.
CDSG’s entry into Petz ecosystem in June 2021, with the founders remaining in the operation, strengthens our leadership position in the Pet sector with a platform specialized in cats, a category that has stood out for its growth rates, through (i) content production and curation, as well as greater interaction with the followers in “non purchasing” moments; (ii) design of exclusive products for the cat categories, which have a high potential for differentiation and are still lacking in assortment; and (iii) qualified audience, increasing engagement and flow to all channels and segments of the Company. In 2022, CDSG opened its first experience store in the city of São Paulo and introduced its products in the Petz stores throughout the country.
CãoCidadão is one of the largest platforms for training and consulting services on pets’ behavior and well-being in Latin America, operating through franchises and offering online/in-person courses and classes, having already helped more than 100,000 families to improve their interaction with their pets.
The company was founded in 1998 by Alexandre Rossi, the “Dr. Pet”, a key personality in the Brazilian Pet market and creator of the “Intelligent Training” method. Alexandre also is the author of seven books on pet training and behavior. In addition, he constantly participates in internet lives and open television programs, besides teaching at significant events related to animal behavior in Brazil and abroad.
In 2021, CãoCidadão was acquired and integrated into Grupo Petz ecosystem.
Seres Veterinary Centers is Grupo Petz brand dedicated to pet health with the purpose of delivering best in class veterinary service through a careful and unique experience for pets and their owners. The quality and affection that Petz already had, now with the highest technology in the veterinary health segment that Seres brand brings, provide the best infrastructure to offer quality of life for pets and their pet parents. With high-complexity treatments and a multidisciplinary team, Seres offers a wide portfolio of services with a 24/7 integral care. Our purpose is to promote the wellbeing among pets, their owners and employees, and also, supporting partner veterinarians in need of a specific professional or exam, being present during the whole pet life-circle offering a cutting-edge service level.
Founded in 2007 by Rogério Haddad and Luiz Fernando Reis Lourenço, Petix is the leader in the dog pad category and one of the most recognized brands in the Pet Market in Brazil. With an exclusive, proprietary and eco-friendly technology, Petix, specially through SuperSecão brand, is reference in high performance (absorption), with a unique value proposition and a premium positioning.
With a B2B model with distribution already established in Brazil, Petix has clients that include the main networks of the specialized pet channel, in addition to its distributers. Petix also has an international presence, with emphasis on the operation in the North American market, where it operates through the WizSmart brand.
In 2022, the company was acquired and integrated into Grupo Petz, marking the acquisition of a solid and leader company, acting in a segment with a high growth potential and with a small penetration in the Brazilian market.
Founded in 2011 by the brothers Felipe and Thadeu Diz and Rodrigo Monteiro, Zee.Dog has become the most disruptive pet platform in the world in recent years. With the design, quality and storytelling of its products, Zee.Dog leverages the conversion of customers internationally.
In 2019, with the launch of the Zee.Now app, Zee.Dog once again innovated. With a verticalized express delivery platform in the pet segment and intuitive and modern user experience, the app has become the only operation in Brazil in such modality able to deliver in minutes, demonstrating a high level of service and customer engagement. Through hubs across the country – in addition to an exclusive assortment of Zee.Dog – Zee.Now also offers products from the most relevant brands in the pet segment.
Acquired and integrated into the Grupo Petz ecosystem in 2021, Zee.Dog is a reference in (i) branding, product and technology, (ii) channel diversification, (iii) global presence, and (iv) team of entrepreneurs with a mindset of innovation, Zee.Dog develops differentiated solutions of products and channels through the Petz Innovation Studios (PIS). In August 2022, Zee.Dog launched its first product in the pet food health segment: Zee.Dog Kitchen.
